🎯 Getting Your Pixel ID from Facebook

1. Go to Facebook Events Manager
2. Click on your Pixel name in the left sidebar
3. Click "Settings" tab
4. Your Pixel ID is displayed at the top (15-16 digit number)
5. Copy this number - you'll need it in Step 3

🛍️ Installing from the App Marketplace

1. Log in to your BigCommerce store control panel
2. Go to Apps → Marketplace
3. Search for "Algoboost" or "Meta Pixel"
4. Click on the Algoboost app tile
5. Click "Install" button
6. Review the OAuth permissions requested:
   • Products (Read-only): To generate product catalog
   • Orders (Read-only): To track purchase events
   • Carts (Read-only): To track AddToCart events
   • Checkouts (Read-only): To track InitiateCheckout events
   • Content (Modify): To install tracking scripts
   • Store Info (Read-only): To identify your store
7. Click "Confirm" to authorize the app
8. You'll be redirected to the Algoboost dashboard

⚙️ Setting Up Tracking

After installation, you'll see the Algoboost dashboard:

1. Enter your Meta Pixel ID (from Step 1) in the "Pixel ID" field
2. Click "Save Configuration"
3. The pixel will be automatically installed on your storefront
4. Tracking starts immediately - no additional steps needed!

✅ Testing Your Pixel

Method 1: Using Facebook Pixel Helper (Recommended)

1. Install the Facebook Pixel Helper Chrome extension
2. Visit your BigCommerce storefront
3. Click the Pixel Helper icon in your browser toolbar
4. You should see your Pixel ID and a PageView event

Method 2: Using Facebook Events Manager

1. Go to Facebook Events Manager
2. Select your pixel
3. Click "Test Events" in the left sidebar
4. Visit your storefront in another tab
5. You should see PageView events appear in real-time

Method 3: Using Algoboost Dashboard

1. In your Algoboost dashboard, go to "Event History"
2. Visit your storefront and take actions (view products, add to cart, etc.)
3. Events should appear in the dashboard within seconds

🛍️ Enabling Facebook & Instagram Shopping

Algoboost automatically generates a product catalog feed. To use it:

1. In your Algoboost dashboard, copy the Product Catalog URL
2. Go to Facebook Commerce Manager
3. Click "Catalogs" → "Create Catalog"
4. Choose "E-commerce" and click "Next"
5. Select "Data Feed" as your catalog type
6. Paste your Algoboost catalog URL
7. Set update frequency to "Hourly" or "Daily"
8. Click "Upload" to complete setup

🚀 Setting Up Server-Side Tracking

For Pro plan users to enable Conversions API:

Generate a Conversions API Access Token:

1. Go to Facebook Events Manager
2. Select your pixel → Settings
3. Scroll to "Conversions API" section
4. Click "Generate Access Token"
5. Copy the token (starts with "EAAA...")
6. In Algoboost dashboard, paste the token in "CAPI Access Token" field
7. Click "Save Configuration"

CAPI will now send server-side Purchase events automatically when orders are completed!
